The Quiet Fold
Available for its next home
The story
It arrived as a stack of newsprint left out in the monsoon, already halfway back to pulp. Nothing about it suggested a future.
Torn by hand, never cut. Soaked for four days. Pressed against a mould shaped only by the palm, so the curve carries the grip of the person who made it.
The gold is applied last, sparingly, and only where the light would have fallen anyway.
